The Exciting Conclusion of the Educational Tour: 4th-Year Computer Engineering Students from USTP – CDO Campus


The final day of the educational tour dawned with palpable excitement among the 4th-year Computer Engineering students from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines – CDO Campus. Eager to soak in more of Cebu's beauty and culture, they set off with a packed itinerary brimming with memorable experiences.


Company Visit to Airworks Aviation Academy in Lapu-Lapu


The day began with a visit to Airworks Aviation Academy, where students delved into the latest advancements in aviation technology. They toured the impressive facilities and engaged with experienced pilots and aviation experts. This enlightening experience not only expanded their knowledge but also inspired many students to consider careers in the aviation field.


Side Trip to Mactan Shrine


Following their visit to the academy, the group made their way to Mactan Shrine, a historical landmark that honors the Battle of Mactan. Here, they learned about the bravery of Lapu-Lapu, the local chieftain who defeated Ferdinand Magellan’s forces. Standing at this site, the students felt a deep connection to the rich history and culture of the Philippines.


Lunch at Sungka Native Restaurant


To refuel, the students enjoyed a delightful lunch at Sungka Native Restaurant, famous for its authentic Filipino cuisine. They savored traditional dishes like lechon, adobo, and sinigang, relishing the familiar flavors of home-cooked meals. The warm hospitality of the staff added to the joy of the dining experience.


Exploration of SM Cebu and Taboan Market


After lunch, the students visited SM Cebu, a premier shopping destination where they explored a variety of shops and boutiques. From trendy fashion to tech gadgets, they found plenty of souvenirs to bring back home. The day continued at Taboan Market, a lively marketplace known for its dried fish and local delicacies. The vibrant atmosphere and unique Filipino products captivated the students, adding to the excitement of their trip.


Return to Cagayan De Oro


As the day wrapped up, the students were dropped off at Pier 4 to catch their ferry back to Cagayan De Oro. Reflecting on their three-day journey, they felt grateful for the insights and experiences gained throughout the tour. From exploring innovative companies to immersing themselves in Cebu’s rich culture, this adventure was truly unforgettable.

The final day of the educational tour was filled with exciting adventures, enriching moments, and lasting memories.
